I've had a microKorg a while now and I'm always amazed at the size of the sound such a little synth can produce. It's not a bad controller - the keys are about as small as you can get away with - and the vocoder isn't any slouch either. As for programming it, all I have to say is 'M1' to those who know and you might run away screaming. I hated that instrument.

Mark,
I've had two Microns and the MicroKorg. The Microns are awesome machines and have the same engine as the Ion. There is a more powerful vocoder in the Micron and it has tons of cool presets. However, I run myMicroKorg through my Triton and use that keyboard much of the time. I love the ease of programing of the MicroKorg. I also like the ability (with battery power) to play it anywhere, including on an airplane or out on the back deck.
