Hi all-
   I just got the Sorcerer filmtrack cd, a 2011  issue.  Once again, Mr. 
Froese has screwed with the tracks,  seemingly "updating" them.  The 'trons 
are mostly present, but a  lot of new sounds have been added, which takes away 
from the brilliant  simplicity of the original tracks.  In the late '90s, 
his efforts  at fortifying old Tangerine Dream re-issues were credited 
somehow on  the recordings, so we had some warning at least.  Not so on this  one. 
 The CD notes are extensive, and indicate that the original  recordings 
stood the test of time.  I am quite disappointed with  this CD.  The original 
music didn't need anything else.  I  simply was hoping to get a sound that 
was better than the old MCA  pressing, which was poorly done & noisy.  Avoid 
this CD if  possible.  It has a "Reactive" label, # EREACD 1023.  A  waste of 
money.
