---I'm not an "expert" but I had trouble with my servo at one point, giving the wobble 
effect you describe. I cleaned the tape head that was reading sync information off the 
motor gear- it was absolutely covered with crap. After that my tron limped along famously 
for years before Mr. Korb completely healed it. BTW I think I have cmc2 on #390
