The tone control doesn't seem to make much difference to the sound on my M400, which is so bright as to be positively incandescent. Is this a fault on my machine or a difference between the Mark VI and the M400?

3 Violins on the MK VI sound very bright with the tone control at 10.
(Especially through a good keyboard amp or studio monitor). I
usually set the tone control at 3 or 4. I think that the MK VI 3V
tapes are copied from the MK II 3V master tapes, so that will make a
difference too.

Whatever the case, ya gotta press the right keys at the right time or
it will sound like shit.

Always The Sun chorus. Avoid the temptation to sing while playing this!
