Thanks Janet, I was quite pleased with the sound I got there as well (a bit 'boomy', but it's not a million miles from how the 'tron on that track sounds on the first Matching Mole album, I was aiming for a semi-reasonable approximation). I know what you mean about the springs though, but then again that'll be the dodgy mic on my phone's camera making them sound 10 times louder! And yes, I can confirm that they are indeed MkII violins.
