\ufffdChamberlin sounds in a Mellotron do not sound the same as\ufffda real Chamberlin\ufffd- just as the M400 violins do not sound identical to the MK II violins
M400 violins are EQed off at the top end to remove some of the 'shriek'. That's primarily why they sound different.
