Use the M-Tron pitch control. Midi sequencer or controller pitch wheel
should work with M-Tron as well. If you want to do Moog style glide,
you can, but usually sounds like shit with 'tron sounds.

Mark,
the thing to keep in mind is that M-Tron doesn't use the standard midi
pitch wheel channel assignment. Hopefully they supply you with the
channel numbers when you buy the software, if not, I can dig them up
for you. For me the best thing about M-Tron was that when I came to
grips with the fact that most of the sounds were pretty rank, it fired
my resolve to get the real thing. Thanks to the Mellotronists list, I
got 1407 within a year.

I've never been able to get the pitch control to work from a midi
keyboard, but the volume control works fine.

Bernie - I'll see if I can dig up the pitch control assignment for you
tonight. I was using an EMU X Board and it came with software that
allowed you to reassign your midi channels to any of the controls on
the keyboard. I ended up assigning Pitch to the Modulation Wheel so
that it would stay put rather than springing back to "0" when I
released it. Works like a charm.
