That's pretty obvious, take the top off and look around. I'd suspect the head block as it is easy to dislodge.

Mark,
I don't know if it's advisable or not, but you certainly can do it.

Hey-

It's probably NOT a good idea to change tracks
while playing. My 'tron has a crinkled tape above one
head area that might've been caused by changing tracks
while playing(blast the previous owner!!). I would
say that, if your heads are not absolutely smooth &
polished over their entire face, don't even attempt
it.

Mark,

I will be in contact. YES - you can change tracks while you are playing.
It's an inherent function of the instrument.

The loose cable is the earth from the bearing block. It should be connected
but is probably not due to some unholy hum in the system. It's a voyage of
discovery.

This is not a problem at all. Feel free to move the selector while
playing.

Hi all-

I humbly stand corrected. Thanks for the
clarification Martin.

What Martin forgot to tell is that you should never change Volume while
playing. And as for pitch, I don't think you have to worry. It looks like this
one will change pitch all by itself.

OK then!
