EMI m400 transformation nearly complete!

EMI m400 transformation nearly complete!

2012-04-19 by Andy Kinch

My treasured EMI machine, originally rebuilt a few years back by John and Martin is soon to emerge from the final phase of it's restoration. The exterior has been slowly coming apart at the seams for a number of years now, but next week it will return home in a brand new Streetly cabinet. Can't wait to see the results!

Excellent. What kind of finish did you go? I still fantasize about ordering a 4000 in an oiled walnut cabinet.

Shoddy grammar on my part. Should have read " What kind of finish did you go for?" , which is also bad grammar. Give me a break. I'm only on my second cup of coffee.

Good things are worth waiting for.

I've been waiting for this piece-of-shit Farfisa Transicord amp to fix itself. If it was mine I'd have hacked it to pieces by now. Give me a totally trashed Vox Conti any day.
