Splicing tape?

Splicing tape?

2016-03-21 by Andy McNeill

Hey folks. I need to repair a single broken tape on my M400. There was a previous splice presumably from long ago that broke apart.
Any recommendation for splicing tape? Regular 1/4” would be too narrow or could I use it and carefully customize two pieces to fit?
Thanks.

I think it depends on the tron. I lost one tape on my M300 and Martin said that the whole set has to be replaced. They can't just replace one note as the cycling distance would never match.
