My lengthy reply to you hit a delivery failure notice due to an address error, but I will look at the problem again later.

Hello Les!
well then, that makes me feel optimistic!
It would be nice if you could help me make this work!!!
As for the Matrix 6, 6r, 1000s being slammed by some
and their limitations, I'm having a laugh!
I don't know if you have the OPX PRO vsti, but I do. And I can make the Matrix
6 sound just as big, and almost identical to their patches. And I've been
in studios that have an OBxa with my Matrix 6 set up next to it,
and you can get lots of those sounds! Not all, but most.
I love my Oberheims!
I have an old Roland MC-50 that i use use that mostly to save and load
files on my Matrix 1000s and Yamaha TX802. Do you have one of those?
I have an old program called "Bulk Librarian" that just saves and loads
Sys Ex data for the older keybaords that works in any Roland sequencer.
I could give you a copy of the program if you like?
Right now I'm going to download "Wave Studio" and see if I can copy my old cassette
files into my laptop! LOL!!! that should be fun...

Hello OBs!
hope all is well on this american super bowl sunday!
I have an obscure question, and am attempting to word
it correctly... LOL!!!
alright then, all I have left of my Matrix 6 is a tape of the
patches, about half which were my own edits and creations.
Like some old RUSH sounds, and the Misty Mountain Hop
sound from the led zeppelin etc, as I was using the Matrix 6
in a Hotel "Legends" tribute show for those old fat sounds.

You know how it is when one is programming a new sound.
You're in the heat of the moment, & if you're lucky enough to nail it,
doing it again is not likely, especially with the editor/librarian of the Matrix 1000.
It would be amazing to be able to have my sounds back in a data file
I could then load into one of my Matrix 1000s.
I would need someone that has a Matrix 6 or 6r, and a tape player,
and I don't know anyone here in the states that does.
Or I could record the file into a WAV that could be downloaded
by someone and then played into a Matrix 6, or 6r. then just
saved again through the Midi out into a sequencer or something.

I would be quite happy to PAY someone to do it, supply the
tape and floppy, or CD-RW, send it to you, and return postage if it cant be
done over the net as an audio file and could download and convert
on their own Matrix6 or 6r.
and of course, you could keep my sounds for yourself as well!
if they would be of any use to you.
Does anyone have any ideas or the abiltiy to pull this one out?
