The trace on the backside of the board needs to be cut. When this mod is completed I was able to plug in a reverse power supply without damaging the unit. Normally the power adapter is center pin positive 9vdc 500ma. |

This first photo shows the location and orientation of the diode. I used a 1N4003 diode because that's what I had. Any 1N4001 or similar will work. I can help if anyone wants to perform this mod. narfman96 at yahoo dot com. |

U7 has been replaced with a Sony CXK58256P-10L low power 256kbit SRAM to increase the number of presets from 32 to 100. This works with all Perf-X units. You need to press the Enter/Enable button while powering on to reset the unit. Then you will have 100 presets. I'm not sure if the midi dumps will be compatible??? Anyone figures this out please post it here. |
