OBERHEIM SYNTH

Hi all.

Just wondering whether anyone has ever experienced a problem with 
the OB8 resetting itself.

I have recently had the OB8 overhauled replacing an oscillator chip 
on the 7th voice and several minor repairs. Everything was working 
perfect until today.

I saved the current patches onto tape and within 5 minutes the OB8 
started resetting itself (as if you were turning the power on an off)
and then goes through the autotune process.

I had this problem before I had it serviced when I loaded the 
factory banks back on. It actualy got to the point where it would 
reset and lock up where I could not get any functionality out of it. 
I just assumed it was related to the 7th voice problems and maybe 
the power supply (which was actually low and is now fixed)

I don't know whether the Tape function is adding to the problem or 
is just a coincidence. The OB8 would originaly reset maybe once a 
week before I used the Tape function for the first Time.

Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The tech 
who worked on it could not pin point the problem.
