OBERHEIM SYNTH

The Perc 1 and 2 cards are normally set to access two
sections of the EPROM and this is detailed in the
Prommer service manual. It's a bit tricky to decribe
what going on with this card, but if you want a
different output from the card, you need to move some
hard wired jumpers and a diode or two. You can't make
this happen accidently. 
The button to card interface is a 2 bit bus, and as
its on adjacent pins to all the other connections to
the card, like psu and output, you can't get a couple
of pins wrong, it's all or nothing.
If you plug the cards onto the wrong pins, it normally
erases the internal memory and I think the machine
won't run. Can't quite recall, just best avoided.
Back when these machines were state of the art, I
spent many months messing about with these and the
other DMX voice cards. I still have a pile of them,
more than one spare Perc 1 and 2 I believe. Where are
you?
