Gibson owned them, but it was a Viscount product repackaged for Oberheim, so they're the one to get the service stuff from, and since they're an Italian company, expect a few headaches on that front. My OB3 was acting up, and Audio Electronics in Dallas did a good job of getting it working properly again. It's an unusual beast, and more fragile than I'd like for it to be, but it does provide a good tubby sounding organ and the drawbars are very nice. -----Original Message----- From: oberheim@yahoogroups.com [mailto:oberheim@yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of Bill Sent: Friday, March 14, 2008 5:56 PM To: oberheim@yahoogroups.com Subject: [oberheim] OB-3 problems I've just purchased an OB-3 from ebay with a few problems. 1st off, I was wondering if anyone here in Oberheim-land had a service manual for this thing? I've already talked to a friend at Gibson Service who told me I'd have to go thru Viscount Organ and wished me luck. As the guy has stated, it started out as stuck notes, then it would freeze up. Now, there's no lights or sound except for what he thinks is transformer hum. I should be receiving it in the next few days. Anyone have any ideas of what it might be? Also, who owned and made Oberheim at the time this came out? I appreciate any help I can get on this. Bill
