Though I can't confirm that it'll work, I'd like to ask that when coding your program you use standard navigation commands like tab and arrow keys and ALT key to access the menus, as this will greatly help blind users in getting around the program. I've been looking for some way to edit my Matrix 6R and Matrix1000 for years that was a Windows based option that uses standard commands, as I can't use a mouse to get around like sighted users do. This has an added benefit, as it will also speed up use for sighted users who are keyboard savvy, especially if you incorporate what are called "Accelerators" into your design, which are simply keystrokes that will jump to a certain place. For instance, hitting the 1 key will jump to the buttons for OSC1, 2 jumps to OSC2's parameters, F goes to the filter, A goes to the amp, M goes to matrix modulation, etc. (E for envelope 1 and V for envelope 2, perhaps?) Just a thought. Another useful option would be to assign a MIDI parameter to each control on the program, so a knob box can access the parameters and allow users to edit on the fly by using real knobs. -----Original Message----- From: oberheim@yahoogroups.com [mailto:oberheim@yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of bernard.escaillas Sent: Friday, May 15, 2009 7:16 AM To: oberheim@yahoogroups.com Subject: [oberheim] Matrix 6/6R : How to select a Split by midi progam change ? Hello all, I am developping a windows editor for the Matrix 6/6R/1000 familly and i have a midi question. Since i only have the Matrix 1000 at hand, i could not test one thing for the Matrix 6/6R : how to select a split memory item through midi. I came up with the idea to use the following XPander message wich is supposed to be recognized by the 6/6R : F0 10 02 0D 02 F7 This message should set the Matrix to 'split mode'. Then i send a classic program change with number 0 to 49. Can someone confirm this will work ? Or it there another way to select a Split ? Thank you for your help. Bernard
