It depends on the version of OBX you have.  
1) If you have 5 big switches, the three on the right are used to tell the OBX how many voice cards to use (typically 4,6 or 8, but I have my running on 7).  The two on the left or for "testing", and I think one of them disables auto-tune, but I am not certain. The other switch I have never been able to figure out. (Anyone know???)

2)If you have a bunch of small dip switches - these turn on/off voices individually.  If there are more than 8, I don't know what the extras do.  

That is the most I can help. Hopefully someone else can fill in the details.
