There is probably a better way but I used to use a Whirlwind Direct  
Box, sending a mic level to the board.  The Whirlwind has switch to  
drop the ground.  Seemed to do the job.

Last suggestion:

Turn up the drums.......... :)

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
