Power switch replacement for OBXa ?

Power switch replacement for OBXa ?

2011-12-18 by adsr75

The power switch on top of my Obxa got crash (bad move in its case, and to me, weird place for a power switch to be...)
I'm looking for a new power switch, (the red one with light) or any replacement for it.
They are 6 wires on it. (I don't know what they are for, maybe 2 for main AC, 2 for the light ?...)
Any help appreciated,
for now my Obxa is down, can't switch it on !

A pretty close replacement for Oberheim's standard power switch, the Cherry GRF22N2BBRLN, is available from www.mouser.com . This switch has three terminals. If your machine has the wires soldered directly to the switch, you will need to transfer them to the new switch, keeping the order of connections the same. Take note of the pin numbers molded into the switch (1, 2 and 3) and match the new with the old. If you are lucky, the wires will be connected to the switch with press-fit lugs which you can transfer directly to the new switch.

Thanks a lot for your answer Paul,

I will order a replacement switch and follow your instructions.
