OB-Xa initial frequency calibration process.

This is pretty straightforward question to an ago old question ;) I've been using the service manual to do the card calibration for several years but the procedure for doing the 4 pole and 2 pole initial frequency calibration and the VPO on Trimmers T-11 through T-14 still bothers me. I get them matched up the best as I can across all 8 cards but I have a tough tine getting the noise to match the oscillator if you know what I mean. I tend to error to a more bright and 'open sound' on T11 and T14. Has anybody developed an alternative method for doing this adjustment? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this one. James
