Faulty Matrix 6r (or faulty user) ?

Hey Group,

So I've just acquired a Matrix 6r. I've set it up (in Ableton) and it would appear to be only Outputting audio on the Left channel. I've already set Master Parameter 56 to 'Stereo Yes'. Am I missing something else? I tried with headphones and both channels are working fine.

Also, only half the presets seem to be working.. many don't output any audio at all. Nothing. Could this be a voicing issue?

No, it sends mono out. if you split it, the second tone comes out the right, 
iirc.

It's sounds like it's functioning correctly. Welcome the Matrix 6. If you read the manual further you'll learn that output from the right output is only achieved with the 'Stereo' parameter turned 'on' which it seems you have correctly set and then played in 'Split' mode. I can't recall the page of the manual this is all discussed but it's all in there...

Hey Guys,

Yea, I did some further researching directly after I posted this message... and yep, I figured out the Outputs. The presets it came with from the previous owner were a mess, which led me to a knee-jerk reaction, of this machine is f'ked... but I replaced these with the Factory presets and low and behold, all now are playing fine. All 6 voices seem to be functioning correctly. So I'm happy.

I'm also happy that Midiquest seems to be integrating well so far - better than with my Korg MS2000. I created a fresh bank of awesome randomness last night, which gave me an insight into the Matrix's potential.
