OBERHEIM SYNTH

Can anyone tell me the type of eprom in the Matrix 6? 27C256?

My Matrix 6R has a 27256 in it.   So it's an NMOS EPROM, not a CMOS part
like the 27C256.  But that should also work fine.  Probably at the time, the CMOS
part either was not available yet, or was more expensive.
 
For the Matrix 6, the latest firmware would be V2.13a
For the Matrix 6R, it would be V2.13
