Oberheim Matrix 12 Panning problem/issue (maybe a CPU audio patch issue??)

2017-11-14 by srbosc@...

Hi there, I'm looking for some help...I have an Oberheim matrix 12 working great but with a panning problem when connecting it stereo and trying to assign the internal voices to go to the L or R channel.

The issue is that from voice 1 to 6, the LEFT output channel always makes sounds even if you set all the voices to go to the RIGHT channel, and the RIGHT Channel doesn't make any sound on any of those voices (1,2,3,4,5,6) and when you set one of those to go to the RIGHT channel you can hear a very very soft weak and kind of distorted sound... From voices 7 to 12 both channel work fine and they respond correctly when you assign the pan setting on each voice. So the problem is present only from voice 1 to 6... The synth sounds great/strong. All the voices are working and it passes all the auto tune tests, is just that panning issue when connecting it stereo.. Any thoughts or suggestions? is it maybe the software/CPU ? My concern would be that it is some kind of cpu error that is happening, like the cpu has lost the ability to scan and control the panning, but I'm not sure at all..

I greatly appreciate some help. Thanks

Santiago
