my matrix 1000 drops voices randomly. not a matter of polyphony, it just drops all the voices played on occasion. any thoughts on why this occurs? is it the voice chips, midi, or otherwise? thanks

My recently acquired Matrix1000 also drops a note (every 6th to be exact) in polyphonic mode. I did a test and it seems voice #2 is faulty. I've seen postings elsewhere that this is a common problem with these units and a chip needs to be replaced. I know it's a Curtis chip but not the type, the number or availablity. Anyone else know more details?
