In your opinion there is a keyboard more good then matrix to obtain

I saw Billy Idol in concert last year (f*ckin awesome!). They played Jump
(and Who Are You for crying out loud) as encores. The keyboard player (he's
famous) had 2 Nords - one for organ, piano etc. and one synth. There was
definitely the digital fizz on the Jump sound, a standard Obie sawtooth VA
sound, but if Billy f*cking Idol doesn't care then I'm sure your audiences
won't care either.

OR

Just sample, chop and and loop the intro of the song (I do it all the time
for tracks - Sweet Dreams are made of this, Separate Ways etc), and use
whatever you have to keep going when the riff is not repeating.

The Matrix won't cut through the mix for the solo anyway, not a fast enough
attack, so you'll have to use something else. That was the deal with the
analog envelope generators on the original poly synths, they were snappin
fast. As soon as they got cheap and started using software generated
envelopes (like the M1000), the envelopes (and the sounds) got soft. The
clocks on those processors in 1990 only ran at 1 MHZ. Today it's 1 GHZ!

That's one of the reasons why the VAs (and the Andromeda and Poly Evolver)
are used by pros now - fast envelopes. Plus everyone knows you don't tour
with vintage gear, it's too valuable.

Get a poly Evolver rack. They are the shit (only 4 notes though - Jump
needs 5. Oh well).

Hi Alex, I just read your e- mail (I'm a little late 'cause I was on my vacation). I think I can help You if it's not already late. I've made my own Jump sound on Matrix 1000. and it is not true that it is to slow. I even made one on my Jx-8p. (maybe a better one) whitch has perhaps slowest envelopes there is. I don't like samples! Let me know if you need it still.

Regarding the fast envelopes, I was refering to the solo mostly. Anyway
it's better than virtual no matter what...
