OB-8 potentiometers

OB-8 potentiometers

2005-02-13 by zendenker

Greetings all,

I'm an OB-8 owner that suffers from a few scratchy/glitchy pots.
Not a huge problem, but it does prevent me from recording smooth
manual sweeps. I'm wondering, has anyone here replaced these, and
where I might find fitting substitutes. The schematics on the web
say most pots are lin 50k, not sure which brand would work with the
pcb though.

Thanks.

(please excuse any cross-posts)

don“t know about those pots on ob-8, but i think replacing these
should be possible if you know the specs. maybe you can open it, to
see what what exact kind of poti it is. It could be hard to find
exactly the same pots, so you might have to use similar ones with same
basic specs. I did replacements like this for other analog synth by
myself tho...
