Hey,

Just joined this list. My Oberheim gear right now
is :

Ob-X, 8 voices. Almost completley restored with 120 memorylocations &
Encore midi (The filter sounds bad on one voice, don´t know what
might be wrong quite yet.. It is not the trimpots, as I allready
exchanged all of them in the entire synth, the voice was bad before
doing the restoration).

Ob-Xa, 8 voices. Will restore it when the Encore midikit shows up.

Matrix-1000. Had one many many many years ago, but sold it and wanted
it back all these years. Also had a Marion Prosynth and a Ob-8 for a
short while, regret selling these.

Welcome to the list!

Sounds like a lot of nice analog gear you have.

BTW, I just went to Alesis website and the A6 Adromeda is the 2005
version of what the Matrix 12 would have evolved to, I believe. Check
it out!

Welcome Rikard.

I'm also waiting for encore's OB-XA kit to bring my 8-voice into the
world of midi. I e-mailed Tony about it recently and he mentioned
he currently has other priorities, but will continue development
soon.

In the meantime I have a factory midi'd OB-8 that I recently
restored to keep my sequencer busy. :)

What do you think about the OB-X?

Yeah, hope it comes soon. Looking forward to include the Xa into the
midi setup.

It´s a great machine, mine is probably a rev 2 or 3. It has an over
all fatter character than the Xa. In unison mode it is easy to
create moog like basses and powerfull leads. The Xmod is a feature
not seen in the Xa which is great for creating wierd textures.

The Ob-X is quite easy to fix if it should break, many of the
components are discrete and easy to find, not much CEM besides the
Envelopes.

Best regards,
/RL

Hello, all:

Just wanted to introduce myself and let you know I'm lurking.

I've just acquired a Matrix 1000 and I'm looking forward to learning
about it and incorporating it into my studio.

I now have an ARP, a Moog (not a Mini) and an Oberheim. Kind of
completes the analog triumvirate. Of course, a Buchla would be nice.

I'll catch up on the back posts.
