OBERHEIM SYNTH

Ive recently got an OB-8 and am confused by its chord function (an aspect that I like to use)...

In my example-the hold button works-I then let go of the keys and hold button and it holds the chord.  When I press 'chord' button on holding a chord-the held chord stops. The manual says that the notes stop and I get a chord on the keys...

Strangely tho-when I play the keys - the chord I played doesnt hold - and I get a single note as normal....

I wonder whether its the transpose limit - but I cant really work it out...

Can anybody help here? Is this a revision change...?

Not sure this will help, but on my OB-X: 
1)Hold a chord
2)While holding the chord hit the "Hold" button (middle)
3)Let go of keys, the chord is still held and the Holdlight is on
4) Hit the "rest" button (far right, yours might say "chord"), the chord stops sounding
5) hit a key - this will trigger the key note and a transposed chord

When I am tired of this, I hit the "hold" button without depressing any key and the keyboard returns to normal.  

Or at least that is how I remember it works.
