Yeah, I'm not interested in doing any destructive mods. Most of all 
I'd like to slow down the MG speed a whole lot, say, down to 1/20th 
of a Herz.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
