Again, this solution is equal to taping the ground pins and should never ever used permanently. A DI-Box is the solution to this problem. They are inexpensive.

Does the hum sound like 50 or 60 hz (depending on where you live)??? Get a ground-lift adapter. They sell them to plug your grounded (three prong in america)
