<< lots of schematics to cope with >> I almost forgot- wine country told me a few things to try before confirming my suspicion that my 2000's keyboard controller chip was fried. what they didn't tell me- and they knew that I deal with electronics for a living- was that a number of other, less rare components might be the cause of the problem (stuck notes, since you ask). I'd gone way past the cleaning of the rubber pads under the keys by this time, and the contacts all looked ok, though this had been a hire machine (ex music lab in 1991, as-seen, with a busted floppy drive, £350. I found the receipt in the manual. I had a broken thumb when I collected it.....). so I exchanged a few e-mails with them, but now I think about it, I reckon the guy who answers this correspondence was used to giving bad news to people looking for curtis chips for their p5's. I didn't even bother them when my pro-1 blew up, I just bought a new filter chip from tim wallhead. so anyway, I'm going to have a poke around and see if it comes to life. has anyone else had intermittent, random stuck notes? what's the mixture of 2000's and 2002's out there? duncan/r.m.i.
