Wincountry installed new os and 512k including a
new diskdrive from the prophet 3000. They said it couldn't format disks. Maybe
you are right, but I'm reluctant to try. I do'nt want to damage the
unit/

wouldn't work? You might try purchasing unformatted disk if you can't
bulk erase them.
