You're missing the point. It's got nothing to do with ownership, it's to do with basic politeness and the ethics of ripping off the work that someone else has done to try and make information accessible and then to try and pass it on as the result of your effort, on a commercial site of all things. The correct way of 'transcribing' (the phrase you're looking for is copying and pasting by the way, transcribing is taking a printed document and converting into to text, which is what I did) would have been to link to the original source of the information you didn't collect yourself.
