main thing being, all the P2K controls will be housed in a compact
desktop case.
I forgot the differences between the 2002 & the 2000, but whatever
those may be apply as well.

say, if you're really going to rehouse the main voice & memory boards
& make your 2000 into a midi rack/desktop unit, let me know when the
keyboard controller part is liberated. I have a 2000 (& a 2002, as it
goes...) here with a dead keyboard scanner chip. WC can't supply me a
replacement & I'd really like to get my 2000 working again.
this part, afaik, is the only real difference besides the matrix
switches, which are membrane on the 2000 & "proper" switches on the 2002.
