Sequential circuits samplers

Hello,
I recently picked up a prophet 2000 and, after much trouble 
formatting and loading items,  I bought a teac floppy drive as a 
replacement. I put it in the p-2000 and made all connections,
but, though the light comes on the floppy drive and it seems to be 
working, everytime I try to format, the prophet doesn't think there's 
a disk in there.
Is there some setup I need to do in order to get it to recognize the 
floppy drive?
