Re: Problem with built in sounds

>>I've tested the 8 voices and they all work fine.<<

how? can you drive the machine yet? if you can, then you will be able to establish whether the rom waveforms are loading into ram correctly by using the voice-edit mode to audition each sound location in turn.

the simplest way to do this is select preset one, then (with the execute button unlit) select sound location 1 (top left of the matrix, & use the parameter knob/buttons to select "1"), & press "execute" so that a dot appears in the display. you will then be able to play sound 1 over it's entire range, without any keyboard mapping applied. repeat this for each sound, but bear in mind that the balance control & voice allocation setup may have an effect on what you hear.

I should say it's very unlikely that the waveforms would be damaged without there being other o/s problems, but you never know...

fwiw, in my 2002, all 16 locations have something in them, & they are all the same size (16).
