Greetings out there fellow P2K/2 enthusiasts. I've been in the group a bit lurking and wanted to emerge from the shadows to ask what kinds of styles and genres people are using their 2000/2002s for. Basically start a thread where you can link to what you're doing musically/sonically/experimentally. This might be a good place for new people to introduce themselves as well?
As an aside, I'd also be interested in gauging the interest of possibly getting people uploading sysex files of original samples. I think in the spirit of sampling, which to me is at the heart of the open source community and movement, everyone building on other ideas is a win for all involved. It could go along the lines of Creative Commons licensing or something like that but ideally I'm picturing just a
community sample pool where people can just give attribution. And not to say that "ordinary" samples of instruments wouldn't be permitted, but it'd be great to see more interesting textures, which for me is what makes the P2K really shine.
