Re: [prophet2000] Re: Very Sick P2K

Hi Duncan,

Thanks for the info, I'll give it a try first. One or two old disks load and
seem to work fine, most of the rest of them and all the presets dont though,
they just hang. Its quite odd. I've yet to get much further with it but I will
give that a go first.

I should be able to try it tomorrow. I'll let you know.

Many thanks, Marty

marty-
this is a 2000, right, with the onboard keyboard? & you get stuck notes as soon
as you play the keyboard.... mine went the same way, & this does not have a
happy ending.

WC suggested I try the midi in, play it from another keyboard & see if it does
the same. if it is ok, then you have a dead keyboard controller IC, like I did,
& there aren't any out there. it's one of the few custom ICs in the thing.

I still have my 2002, but I miss the immediacy of the keyboard; there was
something nice about having the control matrix right next to the keys, & the
rack version just isn't the same.

so- I stripped my 2000- I am going to use the 3379s in other projects.

:-(

duncan.
