OS ROM Image?

OS ROM Image?

2012-11-10 by titojay02

Hi all,

I just joined the group since I recently got a Prophet 2002 - such a cool machine! Poking around inside I see the OS version is 4.0, but my understanding is that the latest version was 4.3B. I know I can get an EPROM from WineCountry, but since I have my own EPROM burner I was wondering if just the image was available for download somewhere? Is it copyrighted, even after all these years? I did see a past message in this group from 2008 where some kind soul attached a ROM image to his message, but that attachment no longer seems to be available.

Thanks for any help!

Dave Smith won't reply to you. And if he does he will say contact David Sesnak
at Wine Country. So you now know where to get it.

So what if you did get an image? And you could burn an eprom... well then what? What's
that going to do?

No, he doesn't have any of his old stock, considering that Yamaha bought
Sequential, and then sold their backstock off... like 20 years ago.

Then I would have all the latest bugfixes (MIDI mode 3B) as well as crossfade looping capability (supposedly added in version 4.2).
