Sequential circuits samplers

hi all. im wondering if any of you have ever rebulit the switches on
the 2002 or the 440? or if anyone has any bad ones they'd be willing
to part with to tinker with. im curious if they are a combination
switch.(tac and cover all in one) and is it possible to rebuild
mechaniclly and replace the tactile switch under the cover mechanism...

if anyone has experience with this i'm all ears. 

(yes im aware that wine country sells replacements. id rather know how
to replace and repair or sub parts to do myself.) they are a little
pricey for one switch...
