hi all. im offering my services for any 440 owners in Berlin for replacement of 440 switches and lcds. ill be there for 2 weeks starting today and will have some time. i have changed all switches in the machine and can do it for a very very reasonable price. the switches (exact type and style -drop in replacements) are available from mouser electronics or digi-key. i will not have a soldering or de-soldering iron with me so if you want like me to do it, please have one of each there. i also have and can do the noritake vfd or crystalfontz lcd replacement of the old burnt out e.l. foil lcds, the lcds are a little more work actually. thanks and feel free to email me. just trying to help out fellow 440 owners. i know the feeling of hating to use it because he switches move 5 increments or not at all.. or squinting to read the lcd. it can be fixed... readily and reasonably. if anyone is interested in knowing the hows or how to's please email as well. im happy to share info, there are so few 440s out there... dont believe the hype.:) shawn rudiman synthdrome@...
