I sent off my Prophet VS Rack to Wine County Sequential Productions. The Fedex ground shipping from Maryland to California cost $125 each way. The repair involving replacing 3 chips that I had fried when I had incorrectly seated the loose internal cable that connects the motherboard to the front panel. It took 2 hours of tech time to check all the affected circuits and replace the bad chips. Thankfully, they were inexpensive chips and could readily be sourced. Tech time is $90 per hour.

I am glad that my VS now powers up again and also that the cartridge function now works. While it was there, I had them replace the soldered in battery. In the US, this is the expert service you want to be working on your Sequential gear. They have been repairing Sequential Instruments for at least the last 25 years.
