Hi Gwydi The easiest way to get service information on current products is to do a search of the Kurzweil web site. I would start by doing a search on Kurzweil in Google. This should get you to the manufacturer. Failing this we have a guy in the UK, Bill Greenhill who is an expert on keyboards and has the rights to service warrantee repairs for several manufacturers, including Kurzweil. I know this to be a fact as I do his repairs here in the South East of England and I repaired a Kurzweil some months ago for him. He carries in stock a wide selection of service manuals and those he doesn't have he can usually get. The same applies to component parts. Bill's e-mail address is bill@... and his web site is http://www.wdgreenhill.co.uk <http://www.wdgreenhill.co.uk/> Hope this helps. However, the LCD backlight has become so dim as to be practically unreadable, and due to a cramped studio space I can't easily find a way to shine a light directly onto the screen, so; 1. How difficult/expensive is it to replace/repair the backlight? 2. Where would I source the parts (I'm in Australia, but don't mind shipping things from overseas) 3. Where can I get a service manual, so I've got some sort of guidelines to follow? My technical skills are, well let's say I know which end of the soldering iron to hold and that's about it.
