Class 2 only means that there is no earth connection from the power socket to the equipment. My experience says use any ac adaptor that gives the same output or better mA, for example provided the output is 9V DC you could safely use a 2A unit or even higher, what it mustn't be is lower in mA. Note that an adaptor may not say specifically that it is class 2 but if it has two concentric squares, i.e. one square inside another, it is class 2 this symbol designates it so. 73 Brian G3OYU www.g3oyu.co.uk www.surreyraynet.net _____ From: vintagesynthrepair@yahoogroups.com [mailto:vintagesynthrepair@yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of grw20022 Sent: Monday, 13 March 2006 23:55 To: vintagesynthrepair@yahoogroups.com Subject: [vintagesynthrepair] I need info on a roland GR-1 ac adaptor anyone know if I would have any trouble using any other type of ac adaptor other then a roland ACi-120C input 120v 60hz 17w output DC9V/1000 mA class 2 transformer...does it have to be a class 2 transformer for the GR-1 to work..I did not do that yet, if anyone also has one for sale e-mail me back..Gerry _____ Yahoo!
