Interesting. I wouldn't have thought the envelope
would retrigger. I guess that means the Omni I has one central EG where as the
Omni II has individuals?
I've heard recordings of the Omni I and it doesn't
sound like mine does. I guess I have to learn how to play it.

To solve your problem, it seems like you'd need to get an Omni-2 instead, as it
doesn't retrigger the enveloppes on every key hit...
