This seems to be "normal" for the Omni-1, as the enveloppes retrigger every time you hit a new note. To solve your problem, it seems like you'd need to get an Omni-2 instead, as it doesn't retrigger the enveloppes on every key hit...

I have one that, on release of bass notes, triggers the lowest C :-). It's..kind of cool such that I actually had some things I was doing where it worked really well. Hehe. That's the great thing about analog. Find me a problem on a digital synth that 'works well' with anything. hehehee. Anyway I'm working through some omni's of late. Just fixed up one that was the typical capacitors and it works great. This..sudden appearance of the note on release I had thought possibly from initial measurements was a bad transistor array. I've been so busy I got the parts and then never went back to confirm what it is. It's probably just another bad cap Lightener thought though on my initial evaluation of the diagram I couldn't see how that would occur. I'll try to get back to that soon if I don't find the problem in the next one I have to fix here.
