Vintage Synth Repair

1. Make sure that the 16 pin conn from the keyboard isn't turned around.
THAT will make it not work . This one wasn't keyed. The others were.

2. replace all the tantalum and electrolytic caps in the power supply and the reset circuit.
3. The key contacts are more like calculator switch contacts made from silicone and small black proximity buttons that capacitively make the "key contact" if these are mis-aligned after cleaning , they wont work.
4. Spray out all the pots and switches with De-Oxit or something like it. The processor constantly scans the values of these components. If they're dirty , it gets confused.

The one I have here is all better and going home as soon as payment is made.
