Re: [vintagesynthrepair] Korg X3 - wanted piano sounds

Hi Mike,

Thank you for your help I will look into it and do my best.

I agree that it could be more costly with the cards like you mentioned
and better option is like you suggested invest in a module.
Then again this client wants something more straight forward I think as he’s
more of a performer then knowing how to connect/operate these things!

Thanks again and ‘A Happy New Year 2013’ to you too!

Cheers,
Noel / Malta

I can't verify that the PCM format is the same, but you might find that some of the Korg Wavestation PCM cards compatible. Certainly the cards were distributed around the same time, early 90's. I am always rather amazed at how much $$$ people are asking for the PCM cards, and rather than shell out all the cash for the PCM cards, I would suggest buying the SR module.

There does seem to be quite the online interest in the wavestation PCM cards, which you maybe able to rip the files off of and put into X3 format if it differs. There were lots of piano and layered piano waves in the wavestation library.

Happy New Years - Mike

Hi friends,

I have a client who asked me where he could find some good piano sounds for his X3
that I serviced for him. Anyone know of some nice piano sounds for this synth please?
He is also interested in some other sounds.

Hope you had a *`*`* Nice Christmas *`*`* & Wishing you All *** A Happy New Year 2013! *** with
a glass of champagne!

Thanks for any help,
Noel / Malta
