Sorry to hear that, as a 50 year old I will not even use paypal. I will usually call on a phone and talk to a live person, and order over the phone.

Anyhow, it saddens me that people will do international scams...it will add up on their karma account.

As some of you may know I generated the original 'comprehensive' tech assistance page sharing tips on the massive number of machines I've gotten into the details on and other people's experiences who would contribute. There are also lots of hard to find parts and a key cross reference that I personally researched out most of the information on. Before that even Roland had no idea which units were compatible with which without getting all the manuals out and comparing numbers and even then some of them changed...

Anyway I've been traveling a bit and even doing some gold prospecting where I found a buried creek bed full of gold bits...building a 4wd vehicle up etc. this summer. Trying to get back into a serious synth-binge again :-) Listed a bunch on ebay the other day. And modding an arp quartet at the moment for somebody after finally getting it running ok (Video on the weirdness to be posted to sounddoctorin youtube as soon as I conclude the project).

I've been overwhelmed even with the volume from sdiy which became more and more volume talking about things that don't really concern me much. Recently a guy who charged back an order and left me with a -267.00 deficit (paypal at least gave back the 20.00 service charge when they realized I'd been scammed )...and then he came into sdiy. Probably knowing I'd discuss the elephant in the room... and Rick the manager booted me out for giving a relatively BRIEF exposure to what he'd done (documented on my 'deadbeat' link from sounddoctorin.com/synthtec/synth.htm page . I've had two people do this through paypal to me know. Getting way old. I can't afford it right now having a lot of other unexpected expenses with car cracking a head etc.)

Anyway beware of using paypal. The cc company can just steal the money right back and the guy keeps the merchandise. Not a thing I can do unless I travel to Netherlands apparently. He just ignores me.
