Hi,

I was wondering if there is anyone here who knows someone with
knowledge of Arp Quadra's.

Playing or servicing.

I have the owner's and service manuals, and would need info. on some
functionalities.

If anyone can help out, it would be greatly appreciated.

regards,

Marc L.

Marc;
I had one back in the 70's. Nice strings on it.
The origional schematics were in three collors so you could follow the signals easier. In fact they were the best I've ever saw !

Hi Mike,

Yes, the strings and the bass are working great, it's the poly and
the lead that are not working well, I'm not getting much from the
sawtooth lead sound. Actually, all my brass sounds are not working.
I hope it can be fixed !!

cheers !!

Marc

Marc;
After a number of years it would go way out of tune at any given time. Could have been embaracing.

Hi,

the only problem that he still hasn't resolved yet is when you put
the phaser on the poly section, the sound cuts out after about 2-3
seconds.

If you take the phaser off, it's fine.

the other three sections don't do that, they work fine.

any ideas ??

thanks.

Arp Quadra

2008-05-05 by gerryrdahl

Hello,
I'm new here, but not new to repairs.
I do a lot of Moog repairs and am always picking up new
tips and tricks (Always learning!).

I have an Arp Quadra that I am working on, and I have
a couple of questions about the pitch bend (after touch).

Can anyone tell me what the resistance value of the pressure
sensor should be?

I would like to get it fixed, but I want to avoid just
throwing parts at it.

When I measure the voltage while pressing it, it goes from
.000 volts to .032 volts.
If I measure the resistance, it goes from infinite to
about 4.5 meg ohms.

Does this seem correct, or do I have a bad sensor strip?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi Team,
Have any of you got an Arp Quadra?
I was wondering if you remove the processor/lead-mix/polyboard
interconnect board, if the presets/patch buttons still work on
the touch panel?

I have a Quadra that is not responding to the touch panel.
When I received the synth the 2nd of the 5 volt reg. was putting
out 12 volts. This is the 5 volts that is connected to the
lead-mix and polyboard, not the processor board.
The 5 volts to the processor board was and is normal.

I have purchased the 7400 series replacements for the lead-mix
and polyboards, but need to know if the 12 volts may have
reached the processor.

So if anyone could find out if the preset/patch buttons
work without the interconnect board installed,
that would be awesome!

Thanks!!
GD

The question would be if the TTL has been damaged by the overvoltage,(12vs. 5 volts).I have seen personally TTL survive overvoltage conditions.
